Hello Everyone! My name is Jim LeDuc, retired teacher and coach at Corona Santiago High School for 26 years.
One of the most awesome girls I ever coached in high school is in desperate need of transportation! She is a single mom whose parents recently divorced. Because her parents are selling that home, where she had lived with her four children, she has just moved out and she’s renting an older, small home for her and her four children to have a chance to live on their own!
She works very hard for a living, while being a driver for the kids to get to school and back, get to work, get the kids to all their sports and dance practices and games, as well as to the doctors, stores, friends, church, etc. etc. etc.
This devoted mother was driving an old Suburban, which was left to her from a relative, which she has tried to resuscitate over the past year. After paying $1500 to a mechanic to keep the dying clunker on life support, it gave up the ghost! Now it vibrates terribly and overheats constantly, and she can’t even drive it to the nearby grocery store!
Right now, this awesome mother is borrowing our car, but this is a temporary situation. My very honorable mechanic just told me that he is selling a nice 2011 Toyota Corolla with 140k miles in excellent condition for only $4500, but for Lindsay, after I told her about him, he said he’d drop the price to $4000! Then we need to add license and registration. And of course, if we raise more money, she could upgrade from a Corolla, to a larger vehicle which could better accommodate 5 passengers!
Lindsay has sacrificed so much for her children and she is an amazing mom! She needs reliable transportation and we can be her guardian angels and make this happen for her!!! With our donation to start it off, If just 80 people more donate $40, we will have met our minimum goal. So just think if we received more for her to get an upgrade from a Corolla!!!
WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!
