Baby Maze was born on November 29th, 2021 at 9:56 pm after 30 hours of labor, 2.5 hours of pushing weighing 6lb 8oz. She came into this world not only not breathing, but not responding to touch, & with a low heartbeat. It's the most traumatizing thing a parent can go through. Haley (mother to Maze) carried baby Maze for 38 weeks only to watch her be transported at only 2 hours old to a hospital in a different city, without her. Her heart was shattered. She felt helpless and wasn't able to leave until she was safe & stable. When Andy & Haley’s daughter was born machines had to breathe for her. They tried getting her to breathe for over 10 minutes with no success. She was put on a ventilator to breathe.

The photo of her with the ventilator was the first time Haley and Andy ever laid eyes on their daughter. Baby Maze was transported to a children's hospital for cooling therapy.

The mother and father are unable to work while caring for their newborn who is still in NICU with no known date of when she will come home.
