Hi! We’re Star & Ava!
We’re two 14 year old best friends with a simple goal: to give hardworking single moms a little time to themselves, and a time to bond with eachother without having to worry about child care.
This fundraiser is for our very first trial run of our project! Our goal is to raise enough money to give one local single mom a night where she can step away from the responsibilities of work and motherhood, enjoy dinner, and spend time with her friends, family, or coworkers.
While she enjoys her night out, we’ll provide 2.5–3 hours of free, reliable babysitting for her children. We want to give her the chance to relax, laugh, connect with the people she loves, and simply have a night that’s about her.
We’re starting with one mom, but we hope this first night can be the beginning of something much bigger. If our trial run goes well, we want to bring multiple women with a night out on the town, at a local restaurant, where they will have have time without kiddos, to meet and bond with other single moms. we hope to keep this going throughout our high school years (we’re incoming freshman!!) and eventually bring more teen volunteers into the project.
Whether you donate $1 or $100, you’re helping make this possible. Every dollar brings us one step closer to giving a hardworking mom a night she deserves.
Kids are our future, but the people raising them deserve support, too.
