Mini Donkey Therapy Cobram

Hi, my name is Jean and I have two adorable miniature donkeys named Pedro and Diego. I live in Cobram and would love to be able to bring my mini donkeys to visit elderly residents in local nursing homes.

Did you know that Miniature Donkey's are extremely sociable, gentle and thrive on the company and affection of others? When I purchased these little donkeys it was my dream to be able to share them with others, particularly our aging residents in the Cobram area. I have been in contact with local facilities and they are keen for us to bring our boys into the facility for some pet therapy for their residents.

Unfortunately, despite being a volunteer there is a significant insurance cost associated with this. We absolutely require Insurance as we need to be completely covered to undertake this. Unfortunately the insurance of the facilities does not provide coverage for such and therefore we need to obtain and fund our own private Liability Insurance if we wish to proceed. The cost of the Insurance for a 12 month period is $2100 and as a volunteer providing a service this is just too expensive for us.

What started out as a lovely idea to bring some happiness and pet therapy to our elderly Cobram residents has become increasingly difficult.

We have decided to try a GoFundMe page to see if we can raise the funds required to make this happen.
