Over the past nine months, Milvo’s family has faced something no family ever wants to experience a short and incredibly aggressive battle with a rare cancer. Throughout this heartbreaking journey, Darren “Milvo” and our family have been surrounded by an incredible community of family, friends and loved ones. Anam Cara House Colac has also provided something truly special compassion, kindness, love, comfort and, most importantly, a safe place for our family to be together. We have created this GoFundMe first and foremost to support Milvo and his family through this incredibly difficult time, allowing them to focus on what matters most, being together. Milvo and his family also want to give something back to Anam Cara in recognition of the incredible care and support they have received. A portion of the funds raised will be donated to Anam Cara, with the hope of also purchasing items that can benefit the facility and other local families who find themselves walking a similar journey. Milvo has always given his time, energy and heart to his community, particularly through sporting clubs, local organisations and junior cricket his number one passion. Our family has been incredibly humbled by the many people who have asked what they can do to help. This fundraiser is an opportunity to support Milvo and his family now, while also helping them give back to a place that has given our family so much.
