Hi, my name is Milly, and in the summer of 2027, I'm going on a four week expedition to Borneo with Camps International! During my trip, I will be taking on a variety of projects within the local community such as plastering and building, helping the environment - especially the local wildlife - ,working with the children and overall improving the quality of life in the wonderful island of Borneo.
This expedition is something totally new to me. Having struggled with anxiety in the past, going out to Borneo puts me completely out of my comfort zone. I would love to give back to the world and have the opportunity to explore new cultures. In addition, I do believe that we as a society take our lives for granted, while there are other less fortunate places out there. So, through my journey, I hope to 'open my eyes' to the world a bit more, with a brand new perspective.
While all of this is absolutely amazing, and definitely the journey of a life-time, it adds up to a hefty price of £5400. Along side smaller projects I have planned, I have set myself one main challenge, in hopes of raising money for my trip.
Between now and the summer of 2027, I endeavour to walk, cycle, run, swim, dance, ski, climb 11294 km / 6776.4 miles, which is the distance between Stoke-on-Trent and Borneo. This is a huge challenge, and something that I've never done before, so I would greatly appreciate any support and donations (big or small) to reach my end goal. In addition, if you'd like to complete this challenge with me to make it to Borneo, how about 'donating' some miles, by which you complete through your own means of physical activity.
I hope that you will consider supporting and funding me on my journey - it would mean the world to me. Let the challenge begin!
