Millie’s holiday treat

Hi my name is Simon ( also known as Haggis). I help out with Bromsgrove Roundtable at Christmas being their resident Santa. Last year we had help from a lovely little girls called Millie’s Bedford . Millie’s has Wiedemann Steiner Syndrome which has meant that all her life Millie has been in and out of hospital having life saving operations. This has been a huge strain on her family with her parents both having to take time off work to care for Millie as well as their other two children. They have had to completely renovate the top floor or their home in order to adjust to Millie’s needs and this has come at a cost, their holiday funds and all their savings. I think it would be lovely for the family to have a well earned holiday once Millie is well enough to do so. I know they are a proud family and they have all raised lots of money for the Wiedemann charity but I think a holiday is well deserved. Millie’s Dad, family members and friends ( me included ) will have our heads shaved to show that Millie is not alone through this and this is a way of sponsoring us to do it. If you have any spare change then it r we told he really appreciated. It would be great if this went crazy and we smash the target so she and her family could have the holiday if a lifetime but let’s see what we can do first.

Millie for once this is for you for all your hard work you do to raise money and all the suffering you’ve been through and never once moaned about it. You truly are an inspiration

Update 21/08/23. Can’t thank you enough for the generosity so far. I have now raised the target as I’d love for them to go on the holiday of a life time to Florida. They really do deserve it 

Update 22/08/23. Thanks to the generosity from all of you lovely people we have yet again smashed the target so I’ve increased £2000. It just means the holiday will be bigger and better. 

Update 28/08/23. Yet again everyone’s kind donations have meant that we have hit £6k. As we have now done the head shaves I’ve increased to £6500 as people have promised donations once they have seen us with no hair. Thank you all again
