Hi, my name is Mick Scott and I run an Astronomy Facebook group called UK Cloud Magnets where one of our members, or should I say our one and only "Honouree Magneteer" Millie Healey has just undergone her 4th Open Heart Surgery.

Millie is only 11 years old and although she has never lived a normal life compared to other little girls of the same age, she and her family have battled, prayed and fought against all the odds through each surgical procedure to try and give Millie everything she has ever needed to live as normal a life as possible.

As I try to find the words to write this story Millie is currently still in hospital recovering from her most recent surgery and I'm very happy to say is doing well although she still has a long way to go before the doctors will consider letting her go home.

Soon after her 1st Open Heart Surgery many years ago, Millie was given the nickname "Millie the Miracle" due to she had beaten all the odds on the operating table and her doctors at the time gave her a very short expected life, she has certainly lived up to her name through her 2nd, 3rd and 4th Open Heart Operations.

Taking after her Dad, one of Millie's favourite hobbies is Astronomy and she loves nothing more than being out in the garden when its dark and looking through her Dad's telescope at the wonders of the night skies such as Galaxies, Nebula and even the Moon.

I have created this fundraiser in the hope that with your help, sharing and support, we can raise enough funds to buy Millie her very own mount and telescope which I know would be her pride and joy to use alongside her Dad on those cold dark nights upon her recovery.
