On December 11th, 2023, Milishia Gosha returned home after 26 years in prison. When she was 14 years old, she was sentenced as an adult after a trial that only lasted 10 minutes. Now 40, she has spent her entire teenage and adult life in prison. While incarcerated she finished high school, wrote books, became a certified electrician and cosmetologist, completed paralegal certification, among many other accomplishments. We met in 2017 through a mutual friend and have become very close. She is an incredible artist, songwriter, and a caring friend. Milishia already has a job secured, but is without family support or stable housing. She urgently needs to raise funds for the costs of re-entry including housing, clothing, transportation, and other necessities.
