Hi, my name is Kristina and as most of you all know our beautiful baby girl and my first grandchild Miley was born with a serious and rare birth defect called gastroschisis and is being cared for at Alderhey children’s Hospital for the last 6 weeks. Unfortunately, doctors and surgeons have said that she has one of the most complex and more serious cases of this condition that they’ve ever had to deal with at Alderhey. She was born 7wks early, had 3 major life saving surgeries, 4 blood transfusions and now they are treating Miley for an even more serious complication from the gastroschisis called NEC so she is fighting every day for her little life and will probably need further more surgeries and will be spending her first Christmas in hospital and not likely to be home for a few months at least. I’m setting up a go fund me to try and get a little help and support for my daughter Megan and partner KJ who are under so much stress and really struggling financially as food, doing their laundry, taxis to get around and buying essentials for baby Miley is draining their finances as they are unable to work whilst being there to provide around the clock care for their baby daughter. So I’m asking if anyone is kindly able to offer a little bit of help & support and if possible make just a small donation to help relieve some of their stress and worry and only have to worry about getting their daughter better. It’s already been a long and emotional journey for them and Miley still isn’t out of the woods yet and has such a long way to go, so any act of kindness no matter how small because every little really does help. It would be so very much appreciated.
