This summer, we're putting the power in the pedals as we take on an incredible challenge to raise £30,000 for three charities.

Pedal for Purpose with Bassetts is a 3-day, 500km cycling journey across Northern Ireland, connecting nine Bassetts branches from Newry to Portadown. The event is being driven (and cycled!) by a group of local enthusiasts and Bassetts employees, including our very own Colin Warnock, Operations Manager at Bassetts.

Over three tough days, our team will cover:

Day 1: Newry → Downpatrick → Belfast East → Lisburn → Clady

Day 2: Coleraine → Derry → Omagh

Day 3: Enniskillen → Dungannon → Portadown

We’re proud to be raising vital funds for:

NI Children’s Hospice | Our 2025 Charity of the Year, offering care and comfort to life-limited children and their families

Macmillan Cancer Support (NI – Mandeville Unit) | providing vital cancer care and support

NI Chest, Heart & Stroke | leading the fight against cardiovascular and respiratory disease in our communities

This isn’t a cycling club; it’s a community coming together. Our team is comprised of passionate individuals, each with their own unique story, who are dedicated to making a positive impact.

Across the three days, our cyclists will cover long miles, tackle tough hills, and stop at each Bassetts branch along the way, where our staff will be running fundraising events, cheering them on, and showing what this company is truly about: purpose, people, and power!
