Our beloved son and friend, Miles Brandon Max Kent, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family, love, and music until the very end.
Miles was so much more than his illness. He was a bright, talented young man whose music touched everyone who heard it. Whether he was strumming his guitar, composing melodies late into the night, or encouraging others to find their own rhythm, Miles brought light and warmth to every space he entered. His passion, kindness, and creativity will leave a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Throughout his journey, Miles showed incredible strength, grace, and positivity. Even during the hardest moments, he continued to smile, laugh & inspire us all, reminding us to hold onto hope, cherish every note, and keep dancing to life’s music.
In honour of Miles’ memory, the Kent family are creating something special to continue his legacy. The funds raised through this page will be split between two causes close to his heart:
- 'The Christie Charity' - A cancer charity, helping to support the development of cancer prevention, treatment , research and education through investment in staff, equipment facilities and other support services.
- A local music initiative in Miles’ name, which will provide opportunities for young people to access instruments, lessons, and creative spaces — empowering the next generation of musicians just as Miles dreamed.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help ensure that Miles’ spirit continues to make a difference — bringing hope, healing, and harmony to others.
The Kent family are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support they’ve received during this heartbreaking time. Your generosity will help keep Miles’ memory alive in the most meaningful way possible — through music and compassion.
