Miles for Warriors: 874 miles in 10 months
September 2020 saw our 13 year old son collapse in our home town centre before being taken by ambulance to resuscitation. He was transferred after a scan showed an image to the Royal Manchester children’s hospital were he was diagnosed with stage 3 non Hodgkin lymphoma, leukaemia in the lymph nodes an 8cm tumour behind his nose, sat against his brain. It had grown into his ear, nose and he was taken to ICU as an emergency after it started pushing his palette down, closing his airway.
He went through a cycle of harsh chemo at the Royal Manchester children’s hospital. Here we met so many brave, strong warriors, each with their own battle and story to tell.
We had support from charities whom we would like to give something back to after Drew rang the end of treatment bell on the 21/12/20
These are : Milly’s Smiles, Fat boys, Teenage cancer trust and Emmies Kitchen.
My target is £1000 which would be an amazing amount to split between the four.
