Miles for Peace

Back in 2017, I was caught up in the Manchester Arena terrorist attack at the Ariana Grande concert. I was incredibly lucky to get out without physical injuries, but I was left with some deep mental scars.

A few months later, I was diagnosed with depression and struggled with PTSD and survivor’s guilt. Some days, it felt like there was no way out. But this story isn’t really about me. It’s about the people who, quite literally, saved my life.

Until now, I haven’t felt strong enough to share my story or give back. But over the next 12 months, I’ll be running 3 10Ks, 2 half marathons, and hopefully the Manchester or London marathon (and I’m not a runner… yet :))

I’m doing this to raise money and awareness for an incredible non-profit called The Peace Collective. After the attack, me and my mum were given a crime number and their contact info. We reached out, not realising just how much support they could offer.

Their work is life-changing. They support victims of terrorism and crime in such personal, meaningful ways. They also run educational programmes that teach peaceful conflict resolution, something our world desperately needs more of.

I’d be so grateful for any donation (big or small) to help give back to the people who should be making the headlines, just as much as those who cause harm.
