My name is Michael Font, and I live in Sacramento, California, with my wife and three daughters. I will be running my 3rd annual 40-mile run on September 6, 2025, in the East Sacramento community.

A local friend and family welcomed the birth of their second child, named Miles, on March 28, 2025. Doctors at the hospital diagnosed Miles with a rare form of congenital CMV. Mile's family was given the heartbreaking news that his condition would be classified as a terminal illness and was subsequently discharged into home hospice. Mile's family has surrounded him with unconditional love and has been grateful for every moment of extra time that they get to spend with him.

I will be honoring Miles and his family during my 40-mile run, which has the theme "Miles for Miles." All funds raised will be donated to the family of Miles as they navigate this difficult time.
