Miles for Mental Health in Nepal

$1,646 raised of $1K

This November, I’ll be traveling to Kathmandu, Nepal to volunteer for four weeks at a psychology counseling center through Volunteer FDIP, a nonprofit organization that has been empowering Nepali communities since 2014.
As someone pursuing a career in mental health and counseling, this opportunity means a great deal to me. I’ll be assisting local mental health professionals and learning firsthand how counseling services are provided in a country where access to mental healthcare is still developing. The goal is not only to support their ongoing work—but to bring that experience home and continue advocating for global mental health awareness.
To raise funds for this organization, I’ll be taking on one of my biggest (and maybe dumbest???) physical challenges yet:
Running for 24 hours straight on a treadmill!
All donations from this fundraiser will go directly toward Volunteer FDIP to support their counseling and community development programs in Nepal—helping sustain the important work they do for those in need of psychological care and social support.
Why It Matters
Mental health care is often under-resourced, especially in developing countries where stigma and limited access create huge barriers. Volunteer FDIP’s counseling center provides crucial support for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Every dollar raised will help fund local counselors, materials, and outreach efforts that make real change possible.
How You Can Help :)
1. Your support—no matter the amount—will make a difference.
2. Donate to help reach the $1,000 fundraising goal
3. Share this page to spread awareness
Follow along as I prepare to run for 24 hours to raise funds and awareness for mental health in Nepal!
Thank you for helping me turn this run into something much bigger than miles. Together, we can help make mental health support more accessible to those who need it most.
Andrew
