Hi, my name is Millie McCann. I’m a student at Hayesfield Girls’ School, partnering with Beechen Cliff to take on the Centurion Challenge – walking 100 miles in 48 hours on the 4-6th of July.
This challenge is incredibly important to me because I’m doing it in honour of my granddad, who is currently suffering with Dementia. Watching someone you love slowly lose their memories and independence is heartbreaking, and I want to do something meaningful to support him – and everyone else affected by this cruel disease.
I’m raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that funds vital research and provides support for families living with dementia. Every donation, big or small, will go towards helping people like my granddad and bringing us closer to a future without Alzheimer’s.
So if you fancy helping me hobble to the finish line, please donate if you can – and share this with others who might be able to help. Thank you so much for your support.
