My name is Lian Martin. This December, I set myself a personal challenge: to run every single day leading up to Christmas.
What started as a way to stay disciplined and grounded during one of the busiest times of the year slowly became something much bigger than me.
As a runner and a chef, December is both physically and mentally demanding. Running became my daily constant — a reminder to show up, to keep moving forward, even on the hardest days. Along the way, I realised how privileged I am to be able to move my body freely, safely, and with purpose.
This Christmas, I want to turn this personal challenge into something that can help others.
I am dedicating my remaining runs to support those affected by the recent typhoons in the Philippines. Many families have lost their homes, livelihoods, and sense of stability during what should be a time of celebration and togetherness.
All funds raised will go directly to Angat Buhay, an organisation providing immediate relief, recovery support, and long-term assistance to communities in need.
If my daily runs can do even a small part in helping someone rebuild, then every kilometre is worth it. Thank you for supporting, donating, and sharing — it truly means more than you know.
