Hey everyone! My name is Grace Driewer, and I'm a medical student who enjoys a fun endurance challenge. Throughout medical school, I have taken on half marathons, full marathons, and half ironmans. My next challenge? A 50 mile ultramarathon!
I've recently felt called to use my endurance efforts for a higher purpose. I'd love to use what I do to try and foster goodness in the lives of others where I can.
With this 50 mile race I will be running to fundraise for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute - a mission I'm calling "Miles Against Malignancy." Cancer permeates society, and chances are that we don't have to look very far in our own lives to see someone who has been directly impacted by cancer. Dana-Farber Cancer Institute helps to advance groundbreaking research and provides resources and support for those affected by cancer. It would mean a lot to me if my miles as a medical student could impact, even in a small way, the lives of those battling cancer.
I've set out with a goal of raising $500 (just $10 per mile!). Thank you so much for your generosity and considering whether or not you feel called to donate. Please know that you and those affected by cancer will be in my thoughts and prayers as I run these 50 miles.
Now let's get out there and log some miles!
