On December 28, 2024, our dear friend Lena tragically and unexpectedly lost her daughter, the beautiful Mila, who was just 17 years old. Mila was not only stunningly beautiful but also a talented tennis player, amazing daughter and sister. Her friends often said that she always had a joke to share, even when she wasn’t feeling her best, bringing light and laughter to those around her.

This unimaginable loss has left Lena, her youngest daughter Maya, and her older son Vito in deep grief during an already challenging family situation. Lena urgently searching for a new home to rebuild her life.

Amidst this tragedy, Lena is struggling to move out of the home she rents and solely pays for. She lives in constant fear for herself and her daughter under ongoing pressure from her abusive husband. Fortunately, we have found a new home for her, where we hope she will finally feel safe, as her husband refuses to let her go.

I have never encountered such a heartbreaking situation—where someone is not only grieving the loss of a child but also enduring ongoing abuse from a husband.
