As many of you know, on 12/26/25 The Hart family experienced a horrible event. Jamie who was on her way home from a girls day shopping trip with Natalie, suffered a Medical Emergency; causing a severe car accident. At the time, their daughter Natalie was also in the car sustaining heavy injuries in an attempt to help her mother. At the time of the accident, there were many unknowns on their condition. But one thing that was known, Jamie’s husband and Natalie’s father Mike; would leave work and make it to the accident scene within minutes. Jamie and Natalie are Mike’s whole world, his girls. Mike has been by their side, navigating between ECMC and Children’s to be there for his girls. Natalie has had surgery and as of a few days ago, has returned “home”. She will need additional medical visits/therapies in the coming 6-9 months. Jamie has had multiple surgeries so far since the accident, and still in need of more. Jamie is still in the hospital, receiving care from the amazing staff at ECMC. That being said, as Mike show’s up for his girls; he has always shown up for my family and his friends alike. It is our turn to help Mike and his girls through this extremely difficult time. Not only will there be countless medical bills, but in today’s world; 2 income households are a necessity to survive. With Jamie unable to work for the foreseeable future and Mike needing to commute from home with Natalie, to ECMC for Jamie. He has and will be missing countless days at a job he has poured his heart into for years. It is our turn as family, friends and kind strangers who empathize with their need to help, to help. Anything means everything, even helping hands for day to day things. There is also a meal train to help the Harts make it some time without needing to worry about dinner/meals.
