I planned to run the McCain 10K in Scarborough in October but picked up an injury. However, I've managed to book in for the Abbey Dash 10K in Leeds on 30th November instead.

I'm running to raise funds for two brilliant community organisations I've got to know well over the past year that we've lived and worked in Scarborough.

This fundraiser is for Sidewalk Youth Organisation (CIO):

Established in 1989 by churches together in Scarborough, the charity focused on outreach through detached work in Scarborough, with emphasis on taking the youth work to the youth!

Over the years sidewalk has evolved by developing Centre-based work of mentoring and coaching services for young people alongside the detached work. Recently we have moved into our new space where we can welcome our young people every from Monday to Friday. At sidewalk young people take the lead in all aspects of the service and develop our provision - we are so proud of what we have all created together.
