Though I never had the pleasure of meeting Mike Swail, he and his young family, need our help. He and his wife, Kim, are next door neighbors to my sister-in-law, Chrissy.
Last week, Mike lost the battle for his life and succombed to his cancer. Mike was only 34 years old. Mike and his wife, Kim, have two beautiful children, Jackson and Madelyn, 3 years old and 6 months.
Please go back and read that last sentence again - a three year old and 6 month baby just lost their father, forever.
For those of you that know me, John Garcia, you know, I just lost my father, Tony, last week to cancer as well. I thought losing a 65 year-old dad was hard, I can't imagine the pain that these kids are and will face throughout their lifetime - never truly experiencing their dad's love - learning how to ride a bike, throw a curveball, father/daughter dances, walking down the aisle, etc.
Many of you have said, "John, if you need anything - just ask." So, I'm asking - in memory and celebration of my dad's life - for you to please help me in helping Jackson and Madelyn get a head start to their life, through education. This money will go into their own education fund accounts for future edcuational use.
I know we are all busy with our lives and money is tight for all of us, but if you can be as generous as possible in helping these two angels, I'd appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. And perhaps our generosity will help my dad get his guardian angel wings and watch over each of us.
Maria and I are just trying to do the right thing and help others find some kindness and happiness through their unimaginable pain.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
~John and Maria Garcia
