As most of you know, Mike Shaw would and has done so much for so many in our community, as well as helping cook for many fundraisers for those in need.  Now it is our turn to help him.
Sunday morning, I carried Mike to the ER with shortness of breath, where he was diagnosed with pneumonia and congestive heart failure.  Mike's oxygen level was staying at a low of 60, I was told by his nurse 80 was normal. Therefore, they opted to sedate him and install a breathing tube in him to get his levels back to normal.  Mike is now fighting his own battle and it will take time to renew his health and due to having to miss work during this time, he will not get paid and, as we all know, bills still have to be paid and his medical bills will be added to that normal stack.  I know Mike would never ask for our help but as his longtime friend, I am asking on his behalf.  If you are able to help, even just a little a bit, then please do, a little goes a long way and I know it would be much appreciated.  This will be lifetime long process but with our help and support I know Mike will get better.
