Mike died on November 1, 2017 after a brief and valiant battle against pancreatic cancer. He was 46, full of life. Many of our friends have asked how they could help and I can think of no better way to help than to contribute to Flora’s education. She has grand goals: She wants to go to Brown and study drama so she can act in and direct movies. She is only 8 years old, but I don’t doubt she can do this. She’s determined and hugely courageous; at her father’s funeral Mass, she stepped up to a microphone and said, “Death is nothing. Mike is alive in paradise” —her words. All contributions to this account will be transferred to a 529 college savings plan set up in Flora’s name.
