On January 19, 2021 after a 40-day ICU hospital stay, Mike Glusko went to be with the Lord - leaving behind his lovely wife, Amy, and their precious children: Sydney, Gabriella, Everleigh, and Griffin.Mike was well-known for his infectious laugh, smile, and tremendous love for his family. Being a "dance dad," having great conversations, and a talent in athletics. He was always willing to help. Mike served as a small group leader and youth leader at church - and had an unwaving faith. He lived his life knowing and serving the one true God. And loving his family well.
Mike's life verses demonstrate his focus and character. Isaiah 40:31 "...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Him (Christ) who gives me strength." Following heart surgery at age 20, Mike gave a convicting testimony. A photo, in his handwriting, is in the updates. Please take a moment to read it.
Amy and the children have special memories with Mike - walking on the lane near their home, fishing on the lake, camping, and skating on the creek. His joy was being with Amy, Sydney, Gabriella, Everleigh, and Griffin. And living life with an eternal focus.
As a child, Mike fought a battle with cancer. This left him with long-term health issues and prevented him from qualifying for life insurance. During previous employment, he was covered under a policy, and gave every effort to have that life insurance continue after he was no longer employed there. Even so far as to keeping in touch with the provider and paying the monthly premium every. single. month. However, the life insurance company has determined not to honor the policy.
Without any life insurance benefit, Amy and the children are in the position of facing insurmountable medical bills as well as paying the mortgage on their home. As it stands today, the medical bills alone are over $900,000!!!
Our God is an awesome God. He loves the Glusko Family. So many others love the Glusko's as well.
