This fundraiser to help out Mike & Christy Mik and their beautiful daughters.

With the passing of their beloved father (Piet), Mike and Christy would like to move back home to western Canada to enjoy the company and support of friends and family they have desperately missed.

THEY CAN’T DO IT WITHOUT HELP!

After one unfortunate circumstance (house lost to fire), to the next (loss of pizza restaurant), and then to even more (lawsuit to take their house) and most recently, the property they had lined up to sell was robbed and destroyed, the Miks need our help.

Piet’s biggest wish before his death was to get his son, daughter-in-law, and two beautiful grandchildren back on their feet. This fund is to collect donations for Mike and Christy to do just that.

They have found themselves facing unfathomably hard times and need financial aid to start over. It is almost impossible to find employment in Newfoundland right now.

Your donation will aid with:

- plane tickets home! 4 ppl and 4 pets, plus luggage and additional shipping if required;

- lawyer fees to settle lawsuit;

- clean/fix up theirs/Piet's properties to list and sell; and most importantly,

- remind them they are loved, missed, and give them hope.

As a thank you for your support, Mike and Christy have silver necklace pendants that can be engraved personally and/or filled with Piet's ashes to keep the memories of your cherished uncle/brother/friend close to your heart.

Their daughters have graciously modelled some of their favourite "Peaces of Piet" pendants in these photos, showing their favourite animal-related designs. Christy and Mike have over 150 charms for you to choose from, so if there is a special moment or item that may remind you of Piet, they likely have something. They will do their best to showcase more, but don't hesitate to ask if there is something you have in mind.

(Please note, these pendants were gifted to Piet by a close friend of his, and another friend is donating the engraving services, so there is no financial cost to share Piet's memory.)

Should any unused funds result from your donation, they will be used to start an educational fund for their daughters.
