Many thanks to the kind hearts and supporters of this campaign. Thank you to everyone who believes in me and is helping this family, who truly deserves it. I'm in charge of the fundraising until June 11th, which is rent payment day. Unfortunately, in this case, we need to pay the rent, and money is the only help we can give. Let's sacrifice a small treat like a coffee outside the home and donate to a good cause. Thank you again to those who truly love and have a heart of gold.

Hello, I am Hebe and I have been an advocate for the Barraza family since 2020. I am still helping this family even though I left my job 2 years ago. This family is from El Salvador, and they came to the USA in 2019. I reached out to them while working at a non-profit center with funds for children with disabilities. Maria, the mom, applied for advocacy for her son Alexander, who is currently 16 years old and diagnosed with Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, and Severe Autism. The family also includes Meyli, who is 11 years old, and Kimberly, who is 3 years old. Maria is an extremely responsible mom, always alert to school, clothes, and meals for her children. Miguel, the dad, works so hard every day of the week to maintain the family and cover the medical bills for Alexander.

Their immigration status is in process with an attorney. The family does not have legal immigration status yet.

The family is paying a rent of $1,700 monthly for 2 small bedrooms with a small kitchen where there is not enough space to sit down all together.

Unfortunately, last Monday, May 12th, Miguel, the dad, was intercepted by ICE when he was going to work. Maria has not received any news of her husband since that day, and he is apparently detained in a detention facility.

This family needs to pay the rent for the month of June by the 1st, or they will be removed immediately from where they live. They also need help to pay the immigration bond to release the father from the detention center to help relocate the family.
