Jenny Needs Us

Jennifer is one of our very own Elmhurst Moms. She needs our support and so many people have been touched by her journey and have been asking about ways they can help. I know many of us have been showering Jennifer and Maxime with prayers, thoughts, texts, and calls and they have felt it...

Per Jenny (Maxime's AMAZING Mom) on February 9th, 2023:

"This is so hard to write. The appointments at the hospital yesterday were tough. Maxime took a turn for the worse on Tuesday morning and the scans show the cancer has spread throughout his brain and spine.

This is all happening so quickly. I’m still stunned given he was in such good spirits just Monday evening.

He has been sleeping a lot and not complaining of any pain. He is not able to walk anymore. He will not go back to school or do any more therapies or rehab.

Maxime will start home hospice today to ensure we are prepared for his death which could happen any day.

The neurosurgeon who removed all of Maxime's tumors less than 4 months ago said that he’s seen this rapid progression before. And at this point, there is nothing that can be done to even stabilize the disease.

We will focus on keeping him comfortable and surrounded by family and friends.
