Hello everyone!

My name is Valeishka Cruz, and I’m a student missionary teacher on the beautiful island of Pohnpei, Micronesia! I currently teach preschool in the morning with my 15 students, and the other half of my day includes teaching reading intervention classes for grades 1-8.

I have been enjoying this adventure that God has taken me on, and it is a daily opportunity to learn more about His character! Earlier this year, my classroom had a challenge with our flooring. The tiles would come off and chip throughout the day, and it wasn’t a very safe learning environment for the kids since they spent time playing and learning on the floor. The Pohnpei SDA school and I started a fundraising project to cover the expenses to improve the flooring to make my classroom a safer environment for my little ones and students.
