Michigan Fan calls on Buckeyes to help prevent suicide.
Tax deductible
I have been a Michigan fan since I could walk. My grandmother graduated from there in 1925. My uncle received his Master's in History in 1963, and my brother received his MBA in 1988. I watch the game at the end of the regular season and always want the maize and blue to win.
This year, fans of the losing team thought out loud that the coach should" follow his father" and kill himself. This was callous and despicable. An eight-year-old boy losing his father in any manner is a tragedy. It is a tragedy that should not be made light of or denigrated because of a football game.
We can raise awareness of the tragic emotional toll suicide has on families and friends left behind. And hopefully, prevent people from hurting themselves and the ones left behind.
I ask that you donate to the Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation.
