Michelle's Battle with SLE

Please help me fundraise for my cousin's medications, medical and hospital bills. This is her story.

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Angels,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share the struggles I’m facing in my battle with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), a chronic autoimmune disease that has completely turned my life upside down. SLE attacks multiple organs in my body and leaves me constantly at risk for severe complications. The journey ahead is uncertain, and every day brings new challenges along with other diseases I had.

As an elementary school teacher in a rural community in Iloilo, Philippines, I have always been dedicated to my students and my work. But now, due to my condition, I am unable to continue teaching as I once did. I’m overwhelmed with endless blood tests, medications, and frequent doctor visits, all while trying to manage the fatigue and risks that come with the disease. I am vulnerable to infections, and the complications I face seem endless.

The financial strain is taking a toll on me and my family. The costs of my ongoing medical care, treatments, and medications are overwhelming, and with my teaching career being affected, we are struggling to keep up. My parents and I are doing everything we can, but the burden is too great to handle alone.
