It is with deep sorrow and love that we share the passing of Michele D. (Monteiro) Saunders, a beloved daughter, friend, and woman of unwavering faith. Michele peacefully transitioned to eternal life on May 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and grace.

Michele was a proud native of Boston, MA, the only child born to Barry and Gail Monteiro. A graduate of Boston Latin School and UMass Amherst, she later earned her Master’s in Christian Marketing from Newburgh Theological Seminary in Indiana.

Known for her radiant smile and warm heart, Michele lived by the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” She had an unshakable faith in God and shared it boldly—through her words, her actions, and her testimony. Her life was a constant reminder of the power of gratitude, perseverance, and prayer.

Even while battling childhood rheumatoid arthritis—which later developed into a rare lung disease—Michele never lost her spark. She was a warrior in every sense of the word. Her spirit, her prayers, and her encouragement uplifted countless people, even in the midst of her own trials.

Now, we have the opportunity to give back to the woman who gave so much to others.
