Michele n Clay Salter lost their home to wildfire
Donation protected
Our parents Clay and Michele Salter lost their house when fire ripped through scotch creek on Friday Aug. 18, 2023. They were on alert at the time and our dad was working on packing up while our mom was at work. The fire was quite far at the time and was not an immediate threat that they knew of. Winds that day coupled with a back burn on the frontline caused the situation to change so rapidly that our dad was forced to flee with very little notice. Our sister Lisa Salter was living with them but was not home at the time, she drove back to help our dad evacuate but didn’t have time to grab anything. Our parents and sister are safe in Kamloops but they lost their home, all of their belongings and their three cats. Any donations will be greatly appreciated, we are hoping to help them with a little cushion to get through these next few weeks.
Thank you,
Rae and Jodie Salter
