Michael's Legal Fight for Custody

My name is Eamonn Conlin. I am starting a GoFundMe campaign for my good friend Michael Belkofer whom I befriended as a teenager in Chico, CA. I am starting this fund drive because Michael is too proud himself to ask for the money that he desperately needs. The truth is that he is going through a very painful and wholly unfair experience.
About a half year ago his (now ex) wife took his children and disappeared without warning. Since then he hasn’t been allowed to see his two young boys and has been forced into a long, cruel and expensive legal battle for 50% custody of the children.
To compound his difficulties this is all taking place on Guadaloupe under French jurisdiction. I won’t go into the legal aspects of the case other than to say that because his ex-wife, children and all other parties involved (police, lawyers, judges) are French, Michael, as an American National, has been at a disadvantage.
Michael runs a blossoming carpentry business on the Island. Unfortunately his business can no longer cover the mounting legal costs (forced on him with malicious intent) by his ex-wife. Knowing that his case against her is water-tight, her last resort has been to drive him into financial ruin so that he will be forced to abandon Guadaloupe, French Territory, and any hope of winning custody of his children.
Most of you will not know me, the details of the situation, or maybe even, for that matter, Michael. So I beg you to "take me at my word" and trust that your donation (any donation) will be going to a very good cause. He will win if he can stay financially afloat for another few months. Please help save the future of his two young boys, who are the true victims here.
