Many of you know my husband as the flag man with the Hawaiian shirts at our local Quarter Midgets tracks around Indiana. Michael grew to love Quarter Midgets when our son started his Rookie Year around 2 years ago. He even earned dad of the year at last year’s banquet. Michael not only loves racing but loves helping families and is always encouraging racers to do there best. Michael is also a dad, race coach, husband and friend. On Saturday May 17th after our club races Michael was helping a fellow family practice when an unexpected accident happened, and he was stuck by a quarter midget. Michael was rushed to the hospital and went into surgery shortly after. The injuries that were sustained are going to limit Michael’s mobility for a few weeks or longer. Recovery is going to be tedious and long. He will also be out of work, so that his leg heals properly. Any help would be appreciated while he focus on his road recovery.
