Michael "Go Nuts" Miller

This is Michael Miller: a great brother, wonderful father, amazing uncle, best friend, and GO NUTS Master. On August 4, 2010, he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke leaving him with his right side paralyzed and aphasia (the inability to comprehend or formulate language because of damage to specific brain regions). For the last 10 years, he has lived with his sister Shivaun and her husband Glenn in Oakland, CA. They take care of all his needs - food, clothing, medications, doctor's appointments, Aphasia Center meetings and errands, among MANY other tasks. Michael receives a small disability check which does not even cover the bare minimum of his expenses. Unfortunately, Michael was very recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. He will need radiation treatments Monday through Friday for 7 weeks. He has had CT scans, MRIs, biopsies, and PET scans that are not covered under medicare disability insurance. There may be more expenses that are not covered as his treatment plan progresses. There are also gas expenses and time off work to consider for Shivaun. He needs some financial assistance from us, now! We are asking if you can help with a donation towards Michael's expenses that are not covered by medicare and any future/unknown related costs. No amount is too small and it will be helping Michael, Shivaun, and Glenn get through this diagnosis, with a little less stress. Michael has brought so much joy, love, and laughter to all our lives.
