Michael P's ALS Treatment Fund

Hi, I'm Michael, a 64 year-old father, former biology teacher, and basketball coach living in Worcester, MA. I was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) in April 2021. I have a 22 year-old daughter whom I love more than life itself. That's Maddie at sixteen in the photo.

A medication for ALS, AMX0035, is now in clinical trials. I've posted a link to an article from ALS News Today. The text below gives me some hope...

"Findings from the trial showed that AMX0035 significantly slowed patients’ functional decline and reduced their risk of death — as well as the combined risk of death, tracheostomy, permanent assisted ventilation, or first hospitalization — by 44%. The therapy also was considered generally safe and well-tolerated."

The out-of-pocket cost of AMX0035 is $3,000 a month, and other copays add up quickly, too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any help you can provide.
