Michael Gargett was a loved member of his family and the wider Waterford community. Unfortunately after two years of battling terminal cancer, Michael passed away on the 4th of February 2025.

This GoFundMe aims to support the placement of a Commemorative Plaque for any and all to visit Michael at one of his favourite spots, the Osprey nest at Bodkin Park in Waterford. This was a significant area to Michael who frequently walked and ran through Bodkin park, and more recently admired the nesting of Osprey's after the City of South Perth installed a nesting pole in the park in 2023.

A Commemorative Plaque can cost up to $5,000 including the cost of the seat and concrete base, and will be maintained by the City of South Perth for 10 years. Any and all support is incredibly appreciated in keeping Michael's memory alive, so we can all sit with Michael and watch the Osprey's together.
