Michael Flanders, after a long road of bravery and strength, passed away on May 2nd in the company of his 3 beloved daughters. He with the support of his family and amazing team of doctors battled til the very end and ultimately succumbed to his disease with grace. The task of his final expenses falls to his 3 young daughters and it's something he worried about constantly through the end, selflessly shifting his focus off of his own pain and mortality in true Mike fashion. Anyone who knew him knows this is an understatement, but he was was a kind man. He was so good at helping people and made it his life's work. Through his work in AA inspiring others in his 27 years of sobriety telling his story, working for people with physical/mental disabilities and acquired brain injuries for for almost 20 years, being a substance abuse counselor, he always wanted to silently help anyone without even letting you know or wanting anything in return. Thank you to anyone who has reached out and offered support to his children, it's truly what Michael wants. Any donation is greatly appreciated no matter how big or small, R.I.P. My loving father and friend. Peace.
