Michael Costello Survival Gear

You may have seen Michael hanging out by Ralph Lauren. He's a kindhearted, gentle, polite guy who lives outdoors and has been a member of our community for several years. A few days ago, when the temps dipped below zero, his pack was stolen. It contained all of his survival gear - tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, bivouac, winter coat, gloves and change of clothes. He was understandably devastated and spent that night walking around to stay warm. I ran into him the next day and learned of his plight, took him in, fed him and have spent the last 4 days hosting him in my airbnb unit, sourcing items to piece his life back together, cooking him nice dinners, and treating him with the respect that all of us deserve. I realize this is not your burden to bear but if any of you feel compelled to assist in donating to purchase the few high quality survival items he requires, he would be so grateful. The money will go directly to purchase a backpack at Ragged Mountain ( $ 180 ), the tent in the attached pic ( $ 150 ), Sleeping pad at Ute Mountaineer ( $ 200 ), assorted items like sleeping bag and clothing sourced at thrift shops ( $ 300 ). He is looking forward to getting back into the " wild ". He has trouble sleeping indoors - go figure! Another kind gesture going forward would be to donate to the Big Wrap and ask them to credit the funds to Michael Costello or give him a city market gift card.
