Dear Friends, family and kind strangers,

I'm reaching out to ask for help on behalf of our son , Michael, who recently experienced a life-changing medical emergency. In March, Michael suffered his first seizure out of the blue in his sleep. His partner, Brittney, called 911 and he was immediately taken to the hospital. He was discharged the same day, and due to his insurance not covering hospitalizations, he has been struggling to pay off this original bill since.

This past week,his situation took a devastating turn. Michael suffered another seizure, this time while driving. He lost control of his car, uncontrollably slammed on the gas, and crashed into a pole. His car is now totaled, and he was rushed to the hospital where he stayed for three days. After thorough testing and evaluations, he was officially diagnosed with epilepsy. He was prescribed medication to prevent seizures, but we are unsure of the cost of his prescriptions due to minimal insurance coverage. Being without this medication could be life threatening if these seizures continue uncontrolled.

Michael's situation is incredibly tough - although he works hard,his medical insurance only covers the bare minimum, and the costs of these emergencies are already overwhelming. On top of the piling medical bills, he and Brittney are now without a vehicle as they share their car, and Michael is unable to drive for at least six months due to his diagnosis.

We are asking for your help to raise $50,000 to cover his hospital bills, medications, any future medical costs and basic expenses during this recovery period. They also need assistance financially getting a car.

Michael is hard working, fun loving, kind-hearted person who would give you the shirt off of his back without hesitation. This experience has been heartbreaking for the entire family, especially in the face of being helpless against the medical expenses.
