After losing everything to epilepsy in 2019, I’ve been working hard to rebuild my life and regain my independence. Recently, I found a new place to stay that offers me a fresh start, even though the rent is higher. I was determined to make it work, but just as things were looking up, I was hit with two unexpected setbacks: emergency brake repairs on my car costing $4,500, and a tax notice from 2017 for $7,400. These expenses have made it incredibly difficult to stay afloat, and I had to take out a loan just to cover the car repairs.
The funds from this fundraiser will help me pay off the loan I took for the repairs and settle the tax bill, which I am working on with the help of a legal service. Your support will directly help me overcome these financial hurdles and continue on my path toward stability and independence. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me closer to regaining another part of my life and purpose.
I have plans in the works to get back involved with KRFC fm community radio, record more SeizureSalad podcast episodes, and continue my work as a moderator and support group leader for the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado and Wyoming. If you’re able to help or share my story, it would mean the world to me. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference as I work to move forward after so many challenges. Thank you for being part of my journey.
