Mia's college AIM Program Fee

$1,625 raised of $2K

Amelia (aka Mia) is 17. At age 3, she was non-verbal and diagnosed with autism. After years of very hard work, lots of frustration, hundreds of hours of therapy, special diets, interventions and non-traditional treatments, Mia is ready to graduate high school and head off to college!
She applied to and was accepted at Mercyhurst in Erie, PA. She has also been accepted into their AIM program. This Autism Initiative will help her with every aspect of life and learning. Unfortunately, there is a cost.
I am not seeking the full cost--I will do loans or sell a kidney for that! But there is a fee to hold her spot and it is due May 1!
The fee is $1,100. I am hoping to raise $2,000 to help cover Mia's other first semester expenses (books, for one!).
Mia's older sibling is already a freshman in college at Ithaca. And I, Mia's mom, am in grad school. I am no afraid of school loans. But this fee is due before those are accessible.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give to Mia. If you would like to know more about her journey or our story, I have linked my blog.
