Barre Mutuo Flood Recovery
The Societa' di Mutuo Soccorso, beloved local Italian-American Social Club in Barre, Vermont was hit hard by the recent flooding in Central Vermont. Members have rolled up their sleeves and pitched in working hard to reopen the club. However, damage was extensive and clean-up, repairs, renovation, and equipment replacement costs continue to rise.
Your donations and support will go a long way to help reopen the club so that Barre Mutuo can continue its mission to serve the community and members.
From club Leadership:
"We continue to make strides toward reopening the club for some activities. As of today, we are still without an elevator, and we have discovered that the stoves need to be replaced. It is very possible that the dishwasher may need to be replaced as well....We still do not have a timeframe as to when meals can resume though we are working diligently to get the kitchen operational...I continue to hear the slogan We Are Vermont Strong / I am proud to say that We Are Mutuo Strong and that has shined through during this trying time with the efforts I have seen from directors and members who have assisted in so many ways."
