Hello Family & Friends -

My name is Carmen Myers Garner, and I am writing you on behalf of my 92-year-old Mother, Rev Lois Myers. It is with a heavy heart that I inform some of you of the passing of my brother, our brother, and her son, Alan "Al" Myers. Al unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on Friday, morning February 2nd at the early age of 53. He would have turned 54 in just a few days. He will be missed here on Earth; but we know that he received his ultimate heavenly reward.

Al was a joy for our family, and along with working full time and serving faithfully in our church as our Pastor's Armor Bearer and the leader of our Bus Ministry, he was also a caregiver for our Mother. Al and our Mom lived together - which enabled her to stay at home and continue to live a beautiful life. Al's unexpected passing has left our family with a big problem to solve. This is the third child my Mother has lost and her physical and mental health is our number one priority. With his absence, we are now in need of home health care to support Mom and to keep her in the home that she loves.

As many of you know, home health care is quite expensive. We are working on some long-term solutions, but in the interim need money to support home health care for Mom while we figure out the long-term care options - which we are praying and believing will allow her to stay in her home.
