MGW Needs Your Support!

Dear Friend of MGW,

Those of us who know M know he has spent the better part of the last two decades fighting for freedom for the captive, refuge for the refugee, and a life of dignity for working and oppressed people around the world. Now it’s our turn to fight for his freedom!

M - a queer, disabled, working-class warrior beloved by our community - has suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder since surviving the terror attack in Charlottesville, VA on August 12, 2017. Despite his PTSD, he has managed not only to survive but to thrive, and is just months away from defending his dissertation and becoming a Doctor of Philosophy.

Last month, however, M was arrested and thrown in jail in the midst of a mental health crisis. He was held for nearly 24 hours and denied medical care during this mental health crisis.

This is where you come in!

Here‘s how you can help MGW:

If you have the means to lend material support, even a little goes a long way! 100% of funds raised will go directly to MGW's recovery, medical, and therapy costs during this time.

Friends and neighbors can count on a personal postcard from MGW, and for contributions of $36 and up, a personalized gift!

- Contributions of $36 and up get you a photo print of your choice, signed by the artist;

- Contributions of $72 and up, in addition to the signed photo, get you an original musical recording by MGW and friends;

- Contributions of $99 and up get you all of the above, plus an inscribed copy of MGW’s first book!
