Half Marathon for Food Relief – Sunshine Action UK

Sunshine Action is an international, volunteer-led charity that began in Hong Kong and now operates across the globe, including the UK and the US. Its mission is simple but powerful: to feed the hungry and warm the abandoned. Through grassroots partnerships and 100% volunteer power, the charity distributes food and essential supplies to low-income families, the homeless, and vulnerable communities worldwide.

To support this cause, I’m running the Battersea Half Marathon on July 20th to raise funds for Sunshine Action UK. Every donation will go directly toward their Fortune Bag events—packing and distributing bags filled with essential food and hygiene items to individuals and families facing poverty and homelessness.

I’m thrilled to share that I’m partnering with The Shrewsbury Ark to make this fundraiser as impactful as possible. On July 28th, the Ark’s staff, clients, and I will be packing the hundreds of food and hygiene items purchased through this fundraiser and distributing them to anyone in need across the community.

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with Sunshine Action, taking on a wide range of roles—from growing their PR and sourcing grants to building partnerships and organising fundraising events here in the UK. This summer, I’ll also be heading to Hong Kong, where the charity began, to help deliver some of their most impactful community events.
