My friend has found herself in a difficult situation and anything to help build her home would be greatly appreciated

“My name is Ffion, I’m 26 weeks pregnant and I wouldn’t normally do this sort of thing but I’ve been reminded by my friends that sometimes all you need is a little bit of help.

Due to some personal circumstances, I had to leave my ex boyfriend, make myself homeless and the council put me in a B&B for a week and a half. Since then, I’ve been given a 2 bedroom flat which I’m currently trying to build up from an empty shell whilst on a low income due to health reasons, whilst trying to pay my bills etc and also trying to see my son on a regular basis and be able to provide for him.

I go on maternity leave at the beginning of June, so my income won’t be as much either. I have no carpets and no furniture apart from a bed. My friends have all kindly offered to collect things for me because I don’t drive but I have to be careful due to not being able to lift anything heavy. I just want to be able to make a safe home for my babies and currently as it stands, I work too much to be able to get any sort of grant due to all their thresholds which is disheartening. But I don’t earn enough to be able to afford anything straight out.

Last week, I got scammed out of £80 from a girl on Facebook who knew I was pregnant. Unfortunately it was a deal that was too good to be true and I had sent her my last £80 in order for these items.

I guess I’m just asking for a little bit of help, in any way, shape or form.”
