On July 24, my sister and brother-in-law's lives were turned upside down when lightning struck their apartment building, causing it to catch fire. In minutes, they had lost everything they had worked so hard for—their home, their belongings, and their sense of security was completely destroyed. They were able to evacuate, for which we are incredibly grateful. But now they face the heartbreaking reality of having to start over with nothing. If you know my sister, Jennifer, and my brother-in-law, Michael, they are kind and generous beyond words. They never hesitate to lend a helping hand- and now they are in need of our help.
